Origin: Orig. in 1968 from the cross of L. indica DALLAS RED X L. (indica x fauriei) BASHAM’S PARTY PINK. Selected in 1972. Intro. in 1986 by U.S. National Arboretum. Name registered May 1, 1992.

Growth habit: decidious, horizontal branching, multi-stemmed
Flower color: dark pink to near red
Foliage: glossy, dark green
Bark: mottled grayish-tan
Autumn foliage color: orange-red
